@anirockerhari Your above comment actually shows that you’re more knowledgeable about abusive words and slang, and have little or no knowledge of Hinduism. It’s people like you who are harming Hinduism the most.

    2. anirockerhari

@Mistu Keep your ignorance to yourself and research about the rituals before calling others regressive. If you don’t like this ritual so don’t to it don’t come preaching to others. I don’t feel it is necessary explaining such ignorant clowns . And yeah ask your in-laws to do the var-dana if you like that way.

@anirockerhari Don’t worry my mentality isn’t cheaper than your mentality. I suggest you start researching yourself about Hinduism. If you really knew Hinduism, you wouldn’t be saying such stupid stuff.

@Mistu you’re no one to comment on me, my mentality or my practice of Hinduism. Keep your stuff up your a**, don’t get that on my comment. I am free to express my opinion, if not interested ignore and move on. Don’t be a cheap and nosy as you’re!

Kanyadaan was always a moral concept, versus the tone it has today. It was about the groom publically accepting the bride and making a promise to respect her and treat her equal in all manners.

@Reshma S tadas What truth? ??? the *intention* of Kanyadaan means the same as “Kanya Maan,” so why do they change the original name of Kanyadaan to Kanya maan which is not what it’s supposed to be called with? ??‍♂️

Several years ago Hindus opposed against sati pratha because they thought that it was against their religion. Hopefully few years later people would be able to understand that it’s about people’s adaptation about any concept and would provide respect to others perspective.

Doing the kanyadaan is the most proud moment for a father. And who is he proud of, his daughter.

I can’t understand the fact that how such a beautiful gesture is termed regressive. What times are we coming to.

I have a better idea, why to burden our parents by having a grand wedding and buying expensive lehengas and kurtas from manyavar .. weddings should be kept simple and cost effective… new idea

@Udhav if you really feel sad for it, then try to stop the rate of crimes like rapes, don’t try to proof your innocence by doing the candle march ; there are dozens of people like you , who always tries to proof their innocence by feeling ashamed for something, but never tries to stop them
